I don't know if recovery partition itself has been infected. Since you don't have a COA sticker you have to use RECOVERY procedure anyway... so hope it's not infected. And don't do the clean command otherwise you lose it.
Does that partition have a drive letter in windows? If so, can you browse files and folders on that partition? Is win7 infected still installed?

Did you check under battery for the COA sticker? If that is Dell which came with Win7 then it WILL have a sticker, so check there. If not please answer my questions about what OS came preinstalled, how Win7 as activated if not.
It does have the sticker....under the battery.....feel a little silly.
So now I know I can reinstall Windows 7 using the ISO image I have.
According to Command Prompt in Recovery there is a Recovery partition with a Recovery Folder but when I hit the dir command there is nothing listed in that folder.
Since you missed that step in post #9, go back over it now to make sure you have read and fully understand the steps for Clean Reinstall - including what I also already typed out for you about the existing partitions.

Will do, just looked at it. I apologize I honestly did not see it the first time around, and was not just ignoring you. I'll get right on this and let you know how it goes. Thanks.
