I have deleted a screensaver from Syswow64 and System32 but the screensaver still appears in Screen Saver Settings and can still be used in themes. The screensaver was created using Screensaver Factory 5 Standard.

Welcome to Seven Forums Tom Co. Does the program itself not give you the ability to uninstall the screensavers it creates? In the possibility that it is too late for that. I'd suggest you see if Revo Uninstaller will list the screensaver.

Revo Uninstaller

You might actually think of recreating the screensaver if it is a feature of the program, rather than a one off creation, and see if it shows in Revo then. I'm afraid I know nothing about how the program works. A Guy

I Found Part of the Problem

Thanks to all who responded. The name of the screensaver is Aquarium. It was listed with that name in Screen Saver Settings. I assigned the name Aquarium as the screensaver name to one of my themes. I opened that theme with Notepad and found that the screen saver being executed was c:\windows\system32.scr. When I double clicked c:\windows\system32.scr the Aquarium screensaver was launched. I then deleted c:\windows\system32.scr and Aquarium no longer appeared in the Screen Saver Settings list. I recreated the Aquarium screensaver with Screensaver Factory 5 Standard and everything is now as it should be. Now I have to determine why Aquarium was apparently created as c:\windows\system32.scr. That didn't happen with the recreation.

Tom, I had the same question. Maybe my solution will help someone else.

(By the way, perhaps it's not the same one to which you referred, but I remember an Aquarium screensaver from my Commodore Amiga days. It was a nice, graphically intense program, especially for that period. After Commodore went belly up, the author updated and released it for the XP platform.)

Anyway, a Google search sent me to the following page, windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Delete-a-screen-saver, but their suggestion was to go to the Control Panel/Programs and Features List; however, it did not include my new screensaver. From my experience with XP, I remembered that screensavers were stored in the C:\Windows folder\, so I checked there. Lo, and behold, I found a few screensavers, although their filenames were not the same as in the Screen Saver Settings list. I right-clicked on one of them. The highlighted menu item was "Test" so I clicked it and a screensaver preview appeared. The next one I clicked brought the one I wanted to get rid of so I moved it out of the C:\Windows\ folder. Voilà! It disappeared from the Screen Saver Settings list!
