Can't extend hard drive partition

Great news.

Please explain how drive letters were locked and what you did to unlock them so we (and Google) can link this thread when drive letter slippage occurs again during repartitioning or reimaging.

1. Boot up with paragon Rescue CD.
2. Choose "Normal mode" for loading options
3. Double click Boot Corrector
4. Select "Search for Windows Installations to correct"
5. Click on your partition with Windowsand select "Correct Drive Letters in System Registry" Next
6. If one of your other partitions is taking up the letter, Click "edit letters" and release or change
7. If you don't see any on that page taking up the letter, switch tabs from Partitions List to Letter Map.
8. Your letter will show up, probably as attributed to an unattached drive.
9. Click release
10. Switch tabs again, apply it to your partition, save changes, reboot and there ya go.
