Can't open my apps!

I can't open any app in my laptop (except for my computer, recycle bin) and the icon are all showing mozilla firefox icon. When I try to open the app, it just got into firefox and the another small box saying to "would you like to save this file?"
And I can't install new apps.
Please help me solve this problem.

Thank you so much. The problem is solved with your help. Now my laptop has its original icon back and I can open them smoothly.
