Common Installation Problems and Their Solutions

How much memory does the card have? The one I found online has 1GB...that may account for some of your unavailable RAM.

Don't quote me on it. ;)

You may consider posting in the General Discussion forum, and asking there. This thread has gone a bit OT.

cheaper to buy

its inexpensive to buy a legit copy of win7 on a machine running correctly.... ebay.
I bought three and the most I paid was about a hundred bucks, and got legitimate XP Pro COA's as bonus. the last one I bought was less than $60.

Sounds like you need an official media. Where did you get your product key?

If you don't already have a product key, I advise buying a copy of Windows 7 from a reputable source, such as Newegg.com or Amazon.com.

Product key? it never ask for product key during the installation. But anyways, thanks for the reply, i think i should get a copy from amazon then. hope it work.

ITS WORK!!!!!!! But. how come mine is 6GB of RAM DDR3 but on my system it only show up 4gb? And after login for couple of minutes it pop up a blue screen something about memory... and it auto reboot.

video card Diamond (Radeon HD 5830)
6gb ddr3 (ram)
core i7
asus p6t se..

.... still finding a way to fix the problem....

Un-official copies of any OS will have a variety of problems, these have usually been altered and may contain malware and/or viruses.

It's highly recommended to get official installation media.

Did you install 32bit or 64bit version?

Which installation method did you use?
Clean install, formatting the partition?
Custom or upgrade?

Try testing your RAM. Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program. Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5 or 6 passes.

It won't fix anything, only tell you if you need to replace your RAM or motherboard.

When using dodgy OS sources, your bound to have several different kinds of issues.

Could be software related or bad RAM.

Welcome!

Did you download the ISO from Technet or MSDN, or Torrent?

If you did not get it from MSDN or Technet, you must purchase a DVD from somewhere.

I recommend Newegg.com, Windows 7: Shop, Buy, Download, Upgrade, Search for Current or New PC, or Amazon.com: Online Shopping for Electronics, Apparel, Computers, Books, DVDs & more

You must burn the ISO to a CD using an image burner.

I suggest this tool: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/548-burn-disc-image-iso-img-file.html
