Very, but I just remembered I still need to RMA 8GB of my G.Skill Trident, so that will give me something to do and take the ram back up to 16GB when it comes back.

I always thought 8gb was the sweet spot. What programs do you run that use 16GB? I have noticed several people here have 16GB and thought about it, but don't think I would get anything from it.

I think you have asked this question a few times before and have exhausted the answers to it.
There have been many suggestions and so far, you have bypassed them. Why ?

im not asking for suggestions on what cooler to buy, im asking if i should cheap out a little and get a cheaper one since im getting resonable temps now that i lowered the voltage. i may have future plans to OC more, but for now its staying at 4.2ghz

I think you answered your own question.
My view is no, don't cheap out now and have to buy another one at a later time.
Buy it only once and buy it right. It may seem like over doing it now but, you will not be sorry.

I'd use the WD black too. Anything with blue or green in the name I think is a power saving HDD. That means it will turn itself off when idle for a period.

With 16 GBs of memory it looks like I have almost 14 GBs free.

Get what you can afford and I recommend you use the maximum amount per slot, that way if you ever decide to add more, you`re not throwing away money :sarc: If that makes sense to you.

I'm talking about HDDs! Not AddRam! Lol I think 8gb is more then enough for what I'm doing. Just can't decide between black or blue WD. Every 600$ gaming build thread or video I've watched used the blue.
