It's my #3 machine, not the 2 in my specs.

I installed Win7 this week, (will sandbox the browsers.) It doesn't detect the network/internet. Computers #1 and #2 are networkeded already and connect to internet just fine. A friend's late husband had built #3, it was originally wireless, and it had been completely wiped, so I'm setting it up from scratch.

Everything under "Other devices" in Device Mgr has a yellow warning, including Ethernet Controller. Says it has no driver, and is onboard. I have no updates and I can't D/L a driver from the web, but I can D/L on one of my others.

I'm on #1 right now, and it works just fine. Is there a generic driver I can D/L?

Prize-02 is my user name, Jon is the computer name. Should I open the 19 files and copy them here?

Belarc says "Network drives--none detected.

Can't you just download the drivers on computer 1 and copy them to a USB stick and install them to computer 3?

If you don't know what type of computer you have then download CPUz and copy it to the USB stick. Now install that to computer 3 and run it. Click the motherboard tab and you'll see the motherboard manufacturer. Go to their website for that model motherboard and grab the network driver on computer one. Copy it to the USB stick.

I already downloaded Realtek_win7-64(7048).zip 7th item on this page
ASRock > Z77 Pro4

and it's working. Why is yours different?

One more Q about networking before you go. I remember I was instructed to do something counter-intuitive when I set up the old machines. Was it that I should choose Work Network over Home Network?
