Hello,

i don't have any sound, Windows 7 says that no Audiodevice (in system control) installed and Windows 7 says (in device manager) Device can't be startet. (Code 10).

I'm using a Toshiba Satellite P100 Notebook

I attempted to install Vista or XP 32Bit driver but it flop's the message "Device can't be startet" or bluescreen.

Have anybody the same error and fixed it?

With 32-bit version Vista drivers work

Hey guess what?
I tried installing Toshiba official drivers for 32-bit Vista under Win 7 RC x32 and it finally worked :) guess I'll just have to wait for the 64-bit drivers to be ready...

Well i try the official dirvers from toshiba, but i dont think they going to work whit 64-bit. In other hand, mabye its a problem whit the driver from the modem...? because i read somewhere that the sound and the modem are togeher... i check that too

Kushi, you are right. I tried using the official Toshiba drivers under 64-bit Windows 7 RC and never worked. However, under 32-bit Windows 7 RC, the same drivers worked perfectly. I guess we'll have to wait for Toshiba to release 64-bit drivers?

I had the problem. So I did an update install on the win 7 RC I had installed with the audio problem. It fixed the problem. It now recognizes my Conexant High Definition Audio device on my
Toshiba laptop P105-S9722.

My Computer

OS
win7 rc
Audio4.8.0.0 driver
Run Setup64.exe with compatibiity options set to Vista SP2

Sound Works on Win7 64-bit!
