Connect Win 7 laptop to hard wired network, do I need router password?

My wife is going to be working from home here on Thursday and bringing her work laptop home. I think it runs Win 7, but it may be Win 10. Do I need my router password to connect it to the hard wired network please? I do not have WiFi turned on, thanks.

No as long as its set to issue DHCP it will work without anything needed to get it going

Thanks, but I am not sure if it issues DHCP, my ISP "Zen" has given me a static IP address, is that relevant? Thanks again, sorry to be a pain, networking is a black art to me... I have 5 computers on the network, my laptop, 2 desktops and 2 Raspberry Pi's.
Is there an easy way to tell if this Thomson router is issuing DHCP?

If all other pc are working it is issuing an IP its the default setup
