I think you need to go far a http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/219487-clean-reinstall-factory-oem-windows-7-a.html at first .... before any other troubleshooting.

what?!? How is that possible? I deleted all the registries and uninstalled from add/remove programs. I was thinking the same thing of just doing a clean reinstall. Thanks anyway Arc!

*edit: I just realized I only deleted mcdbus.sys from C:\Windows\Syswow64\drivers and forgot to delete from C:\Windows\system32\
