My Windows keeps freezing whenever the Installing Language reached about 90% ..
Any ideas why this is happening..

I'm getting pretty hopeless here.

It probably has to do with the Windows file corruption problem you are having.

Yeah... But how'm i gonna solve that. Is this really an unique problem?
Since ive seen more people with the same problem actually. But always or no answer or they solved it
without saying what. Or the solutions just dont work.

But its gotta be something simple, right..

Lol

Every problem is unique to some degree since not every computer has the same hardware and software installed. What works for one person may not work for another. Try fixing the Windows system first. If that does not resolve your problems, you may want to worry about the repair install before the language install since you may have to do the language install again after the repair install anyway.

What i've noticed now that this does not happen on another account which is as good as un-used..

You may have a corrupted user account. You can create a new account and move your folders over. You will have to determine if any of your software uses the hidden appdata folder to save information that you will need. Google Chrome, Steam games, Windows Live are a few of the most common programs I can think of that do so. You will have to do a little research to find out. You may want to backup your old account or keep it on your computer, and then create a new account, and see which programs you lose information from.

The best method for backing up an account is doing the following in an http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/783-elevated-command-prompt.html:

robocopy /s /r:5 /w:0 /xj /xo C:\users\{username} H:\usersBackup\{username}

where {username} is the name of the user you are backing up, and H: is the letter for the external drive (I chose H: arbitrarily, yours may be different and can be found through Start Menu -> Computer/My Computer). For instance, in my case it would look like:

robocopy /s /r:5 /w:0 /xj /xo C:\users\mike H:\usersBackup\mike

Actually haven't appeared for some time now,
although I didn't browse much anymore or very slowly which seems to work.
But thats a nonsense solution though..

I might try the user backup later, for the moment i'm really figuring out how this is possible
and so for further users with this problem they'll be able to solve it too.

Nice to see you check back!

Unfortunately it didn't help a second, so i ended up using Explorer through Notepad++ untill the day of today.
Which is a pain in the ass tbh, but i've really tried a lot of things now and it doesn't seem to go resolve the problem.

Maybe you learned up something about this issue in the mean while? :)

If i could only open up all those reg's downloaded now. Explorer crashes the first second I go into the Downloads Folder,
and through Notepad I can't click open (even through the context-menu). It's thinking I want to edit or merge it, having no option to open it.

Hold on.

I dragged them to desktop and added them to registry, although with no luck since explorer crashed again just now, with testing. Ima go on and try the Corrupted UA

--
i've done that before (not on this laptop though) but i'm gonna need to reimport a lot of files is my guess, such as ftp accounts, firefox data and application settings?

--
Thanks for the replies, anyways:

Made a new Profile, Which worked great. repeating 'worked'.
I've tried to copy the files from this account to a new account through a new account.
I couldnt get into the Folders of this Profile and the new Profile, it first gave the Error (as usual)
to press Continue to gain full access over the folders, after I did that the Navigation Bar just turned into it's Progress state and didn't cross the [X] (Stop button in Explorer Navbar).
After cancelling that, It started to have the same Explorer.exe Crash, again, on a New profile..
So now I guess that profile is corrupted just due to trying to access my current profile?

Microsoft what the.

It's still likely a bad codec of some kind.

This is one of the worst non-virus or non-hardware cuased problems. Finding and fixing the /specific/ codec can take some deep spelinking into your codec registrations. Copying single files of various types into a folder and finding out exactly which one(s) are causing it, then disabling the codecs one by one till it stops.

Unfortuantely all the old programs that worked on XP for doing this no longer work on Windows 7 and I have not been able to find one that does yet :(

If it's a codec problem it will follow every user on the machine as it affects them all.

Given the amount of time spent looking for it already, it may be time to just cut lost time and reinstall windows.

Are you still having these explorer crashes, or did you do as suggested and re-install Windows?

Good to see people are watching back,
never got a mail about a reply, so thought it'd be dead by now.

However I still got the explorer crashes, and since today / yesterday
I've got some strange BSOD's when watching flash movies or something, even when im not tho - but it seemed like it happened a few times when pausing a video ; Sound froze - Laptop froze - BSOD and direct reboot.

Guess this couldnt get worse anyway
