Solved CS5 Won't Install on Windows 7. Adobe or Windows Problem?

Hi Everybody,

This morning, I did a clean install of Windows 7 on my PC. It went without any problems but the 98 or so Windows updates took a couple of hours to install. Then I was able to reload my Windows Live Mail (now a part of Windows Live Essentials 2011) and brought in the mail folders I had saved on my external hard drive. Also recovered all my Favorites. And my Photoshop CS5 finally loaded 100% without any problems. So now I am in the process of reloading all my Office software and countless others that I need on my machine. But at least now, everything is working like it should.

Thanks again for all the help and Happy New Year!

Jack

Hi there
I've had absolutely NO trouble with Adobe CS4 / CS5 and now CS 5.5.

Probably the best thing to do would eb to UNINSTALL your current version, re-download the LATEST CS5.5 package from Adobe (your licence key for CS5 will be valid) and install.

When you install INSTALL AS A TRIAL.

Then when completed start the program and THEN when prompted enter your license number.

(Sorry I've just seen you've already fixed the problem --but I'd still advise getting the CS5.5 update --well worth it especially on 64 bit).

Cheers

Hi Jimbo,

I have finally managed to get it all working, including the CS5 software. Now I am in the process of viewing some tutorials on the new features. I am impressed by the improvements - some really nice stuff.

Thanks anyway for the tips.
