really want photoshop cs4 but it's way to expensive so I just have to get by with Gimp and Corel. You can only do so much with them.

While I have access to Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, Corel, pretty much all commercial image editing software, I find Gimp to be my favorite.. You just have to learn how to imitate the effects that PS makes.

I made these in about 5 minutes each with Gimp. Just having fun.

That is exactly what I do, and try (it is also very hard) to believe that one day I will be able to make at least one that may take place on at least three desktops.

I can agree with you on there. I think I'll mess with a Bugatti today.

For Arc, I never worry about how popular my images are. I just like making them and learning techniques as I go. For instance, from these particular sets of images, I've learned to use a bit of Gaussian Blur (about 2 to 3 points) to smooth out the edges of the "vines" and arcane symbols, since they're kinda choppy at the larger settings..

Please dont mind, mate. I know that the artists dont look after the commercial value (i.e. popularity), Art is for art's sake.

But What I wanted to say was an art should get a least most approved to be considered as a successful art, and that is why I said the " three desktops" thing ... three means my two and at least an othr person. If you assure , I may post the next thing I could create .... but I have a large gestation period

I want to ask you a question. Can I flip or rotate a brush (other than flipping a layer) ?
