I recently downloaded a video and had stored it in a local disk. When I try to copy this file into a USB or any location my windows copier just hangs and says after a while "The source file cannot be read" - Cyclic Data Redundancy. I figured out that part of the file is stored in bad sector. How do I recover the file.
When I play the video, at particular time it hangs. I close it and after the my hard disk stops continuously blinking the LED I open it again and and seek more than the time it stopped.
For eg: It hanged at 22:23 mins then I would open it again and seek to 22:29 then it would play.
I could not make a copy of this file to any location.
Please help
Thanks in advance.
