Disable DV now ..... it was just a test before I can say it .....
In almost all dumps, I got one thing common, and that is
Code:
Probably caused by : hardware ( nt!KiKernelCalloutExceptionHandler+e )
And, I earlier pointed out that all number of different port errors. As it is not a virus/ BIOS rootkit (depending on your scan results) I am afraid to say, very afraid to say, that something really wrong is going here.

It is a laptop, that means it is a OEM license, tagged with the motherboard. That knowledge makes me even afraid to say what I am thinking. I wish some other person will have a look, and if somebody else also think in my way, .......

I wish what I am thinking is wrong, but taking everything in account, it comes out to be a failing motherboard.

Can you search for a BIOS update, from the manufacturer's site?
Code:
BIOS Version/Date Dell Inc. A13, [COLOR=Red]29/03/2011[/COLOR]
If the BIOS update work there, hopefully!

Thanks for the Speccy report. What sticks are in the machine now, one or two, the original sticks or your partners? It might not be the memory, but the slot. Thanks.

I've ruled out the memory, just remembered my partners laptop is an i5 and on checking the memory is compatible....so swapped them over and within a few minutes I got a BSOD so at least that has ruled memory out.

I have the A13 BIOS, have had that updated from the beginning.

The memory sticks in now are from the other laptop and its 2 sticks.

It does look increasing like motherboard failure doesn't it :(

I'm trying to run Windows Defender Offline but it keeps stopping and saying the service has stopped. Usually sometime aftet about 10 minutes

There are a few anomolies when I look @ Speccy...

Dates could be a US/UK thing mm/dd/yyy vs. dd/mm/yyyy - but please check that your system date is correct.

OS Install Date - 06/02/2013

Uptime
-Current Session
--Current Time: 11/02/2013 10:50:21
--Last Boot Time: 11/02/2013 10:45:51

Battery
-Battery Charge %: 83 %
-Battery State: Unknown status
-Remaining Battery Time: Unknown

Recommend:
- Remove the battery and run on AC only
- Turn off hibernation, reboot (you can turn it back on later if you need it)
-- In an elevated cmd prompt enter: powercfg -h off
- In Dev Mgr: disable Intel Management Engine Interface

These are shots n the dark - they might help, they can't hurt.

Ok, thanks. When you were running memtest, you had an issue whre BSODs would not let you boot, so you pulled a stick. I would remove the stick from that slot and run with limited memry for a while.

1st stick in memory slot 1 completed 6 passes with no errors. Swapped stick 1 with stick 2 but using the same memory slot, currently done 4 passes with no errors. What does seem strange is this memory stick seems to be taking longer to test.
.....So I switched off and reinstalled all the RAM and rebooted but straight away I got a BSOD, this has happened repeated now about 8 times and I'm unable to load windows....
I've managed to get the laptop started. I took out the RAM stick that was last tested (for 10 hours) and it booted up straight away but then rebooted once windows was fully loaded after about 20 seconds.

Thanks guys. Tried everything now but still no joy so just going to give up and admit defeat.

Thanks again for all the help.
