Hello,
I'm doing a custom case mod / replacement for my Dell 4600c PC & I've hit a snag that needs to be solved A.S.A.P. as I'm having a neighbor help with cutting the required holes.
The Dell 4600c is not an easy PC to do a case mod for as almost all of the connections as far as I have read are proprietary connections.
What I'm looking for and have read so far is a SPST (single pull, single throw) switch I believe to replace, or attach to the current power button and I'm on a time crunch so I have to be able, hopefully, find a switch at my local Radio Shack today.
However I need a little guidance as to my options on switches, I can if push comes to shove do a little re-soldering to attach a switch to the panel but I'd prefer a switch that utilizes the switch already on the board as shown in the images I've attached.
The images are high definition to show clearly what switch I'm talking about. So I need some guidance and suggestions from those that do case modding / re-wiring on a regular basis & can tell me what would be an appropriate switch to buy.
edit: If I remember reading correctly it's a STSP Momentary switch, I'd prefer a push button switch (illuminated or Non, whichever is easier). Not looking for toggle or rocker switches, the more discreet the switch the better.
