Possibly the wrong forum, but - I have transferred my profiles dict file from XP into Win7 and selected the UK dictionary whenever asked, Word 2010 & Regional Settings, and I still am told over and over that words are spelled wrongly.

I watch as WLM says a word is wrong, and add it to the dictionary, then Word or Wordpad or other software says the very same word is wrong and I have to add it again.

How many dictionaries am I supposed to maintain? Why cannot I bring in one, XP, dictionary which has been in use for years and have it apply to whatever I do in Win7?

Thanks

I don't use Office or WLM. But I'm guessing somewhere in the Registry is a setting to use the default language of the Windows that is installed. There may be some way to countermand that. It's just a guess. You may have better luck on Windows Annoyances site. Sounds like a problem that would be found there.
