Hi,

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.

I bought a second internal hard drive about a month ago. I partitioned it and used one partition for Windows backup and the other partition is for storing data.

I moved a lot of data from my primary disk on to the partition on the new disk. Everything has been working fine until now.

This morning I booted up the computer and the new disk is not showing in Computer. I rebooted and checked the bios, the disk is showing there so I let the OS boot and then opened Disk Manager. The new disk is showing there too but now it appears as unallocated and not initialized.

How do I fix this and how do I fix Windows 7 so that it doesn't happen again? I really do not want to lose the data on the disk.

Many thanks in advance.

Fido.
