Solved diskpart/clean by accident....need to recover partitions,begging :'(

okay, I was looking at partition wizard help contents. Little bit of confusion. Can anyone tel me quickly,

Partition wizard has two options which directly affects on me. That is ,
*Rebuild MBR and
*Partition recovery.

Which command should I use first? Cuz I think I have erased my mbr too along with the partition table. Help please. Thank you all very much.

Look at the video tutorial in my post earlier. Click the blue link. It shows exactly how to run the Partition Recovery Wizard which is all that has been suggested so far. If it fails after several full scans then you can move on to Data Recovery. There will be suggestions then.

There are no guarantees. You ran Clean command which is to wipe the entire HD. It is best not to venture into these operations unless you are absolutely sure what you're doing. You could have asked us first.

I would say there is only a slim chance you can recover your Partitions or the data after Clean command, but since SIW2 thinks its possible I will try to remain optimistic for you. He was the one who taught me.

greg, u got me wrong there. I dont want anything that I formated. That means i do not need my c: partition data. I intend to use clean only on the partition. It was a mistake i cleaned up the whole disk. I know what clean does. So now im booting up with recovery wizard. I repeat, i only want my partition table back. All the data is in d partition and e. So no wories about recovering anythng from c:.
Just want that 512kb that my mbr and partition table was written.
Sorry if i have troubled you. And thanks in advance to all of you.

You are no trouble. As always I'm willing to go to whatever lengths are required to help you recover from a terrible mistake.

But we must be realistic.

If you know what Clean command does then you'd know that it can only be run on the entire HD and not on a single partition using the Command Line. You'd also know that it is irreversible.

I don't think undelete - which is what Partition Recovery Wizard and most data recovery do - can work on Cleaned HD's. But it is worth a try. Let's have hope. Beyond that there is full forensic Data Recovery for which freeware is limited but may eventually work when you get into the more expensive options.

yeah, i know what you mean. I was about to give it to a repair shop. But many and google has lot of positive comments on it can be recovered via test disk which is i dont know exactly how to use.
I didnt know that clean cannot be used on single partition. As i have recovered many pen drives and memory cards, i thot it would work. What i wantd was to clean up any erors thats causing lags and bsods. Even i restored a image, it kept coming.
Thank u, and i wil post my results with PW soon.

I'm not sure if Partition Wizard can do it, but with Testdisk you may have the chance to copy out the lost files before writing corrections to the MBR/PBR.

Not nearly as easy to use as there's no GUI, but there's no further harm to the drive as long as you don't specify writing the corrections to the MBR/PBR.

When I'm unsure how a "fix" is going to come out I first make a raw clone of the disk. That way I can work on either the original or the clone and can always start over. If I feel relatively confident that a "fix" will work I work on the original.

oh!
Im runing little late becuz i had to go out for a while. That raw cloning is something new.

How ever, partition wizard runing and it detected my partitions on quick scan. Everything was perfect except it shows 50gb used out of 200 from d: where its suppose to show 157gb. So i started a full scan and its runing now. Guys, what do u think? Tell me quickly, should I go on with wizard or change to test disk?
If even partition wizard messed with my mbr and table, would i stil have a chance to recover data with any other tools? Would it damage data? I suppose not because it is for recorecting the table right? :(

okay, SIW, Greg, F5ing and everyone,
Partition recovery wizard full scan is runing, and yet its 12%(realy slow on these 5400 spiners).

Already, at the top it shows a 10mb partition filed up 8mb. Then that 100mb reserved with 86mb free. Then there is my c: 8mb used out of 100gb. And then there is about 7 or 8(it doesnt allow to scroll) partitions 1 or 1.5mb filled out of 3.02mb. And these have a label BOOT infront of them.

So, problem is, what partitions should I check?
All of these(including these 3mb crunches) or just that 10 and reserved 100 mb with My C,D,E which shows there exact sizes?
Help please.

please take a good look at the 3MB partitions. LBA begin and LBA end means the start and end sector of that (probably fake) partition. Can you post screenshot (made by photo camera)?

What and how many partitions did you have before "clean"? system reserved 100MB and 100GB for windows (is that right size as before?)? Any more partitions were on disk?

Try a quick scan instead of a full scan. Quickscan is better in this case. It won't give you fake partitions

okay, i will try to post a pic, for that i need to have computer and scan is yet runing.
And yes, it shows exact sizes. Quick scan and now.
I had 100mb reserved, then 100gb for windows, 200 gb as D:, and 296gb as E. Thatz all of it I had when I open disk management window.

So all looks fine as expected? All partitions are NTFS? Used size is also what you expected?

I did a quick scan before and it came up with exactly what i had( sizes and names I think),
But problem was, it showed me a wrong used space. Partition size was 100% correct. Like e was having 296.23gb or somethng around. Bt as I have mentioned before,
C was empty(its okay cuz i format it)
But
D: showed 53gb used instead of 157gb.
E: showed 203gb used instead of 215gb. Thatz also okay. Those were some vmwares.

Thatz why I ran a ful scan, cuz i cant lose the D:

And I repeat, partition sizes were perfect in quick scan too and now.

If the data is that important to you, and the hard drive is physically "healthy", you can do as many scans as you want with different apps/settings. Don't commit to the writing of corrections until you get the scan that most accurately represents what you thought was on the disk to begin with.

As previously mentioned a screenshot would be great for all to look at.

That "c: 8mb used out of 100gb" does not look good.

You might consider file recovery to other media before committing a correcting write to the disk.

EDIT: Nevermind on that "c: 8mb used out of 100gb" comment. Your post a minute ago reminded me of that format. Certainly commits it to memory a little better as you mentioned it again. :)

sure only 8MB used on 100GB partition? Not what it was in diskmanagement I assume

If everything is as expected.... select the partitions and do the recovery
After that in main PW screen.... look if the partitions are NTFS and PRIMARY. Anyway.... check if they are as expected. post results

sorry for the delay. Im via my phone and can't comment much fast. For the last question, yes they were all NTFS and exact sizes but not the used space.
Now the full scan is runing and i can see a 10mb as BOOT, then 100mb reserved. 100.01gb as c(thatz the exact size. And lot of 3mb partitions and its not allowed to scroll.
Should I cancel the scan and run a quick one even used data is wrong?
