Solved Email on Spam List

I have an email accout that I use to communicate with just one person.
One day after sending an email to him I got this reply:

"Sorry, we were unable to deliver your message to the following address."

It turned out that my email account is on a spam blacklist. How it got
there I don't know. I was told to go to spamhaus.org to get off the list.
How did spamhaus.org learn about my email account which is used to
send/receive messages to only one person? Do I have to pay spamhaus.org?

The .org Top Level Domain is reserved for official organisations and charitable trusts etc so It should be safe enough to deal with them. Contact them and request the information that is causing the block, which is likely to be something that meets a general reason for blocking

Alternatively as you only use this email to communicate with one person, you could simply stop using it and create another email address from one of the many free providers
