PW surface test freezes, robocopy freezes. I/O device errors during normal copy. PW freezes on paritition copy.

Disk is damaged!!! chkdsk can fix errors but not total faulty blocks on disk. Since you have saved what was savable you can try everything with the disk.

chkdsk can only be performed on volumes with a drive letter so "data" and "local disk" in your case. "data" has already been copied succesfully. You can try chkdsk to check "local disk"

But I think it freezes as well.

I can't do that now cos it's 11:50 pm here and I need sleep, so I'll do it tomorrow. I'm getting a 1TB HDD anyway so I'll also try to make my damaged HDD a slave to the new one and see wat I can do.

You can replace the chips on it. But the harddisk itself is damaged! There are bad spots on disk. Always same spots. Just throw it away or use the waranty

I think warranty is a bit complicated (idk the procedures) plus I got to wait for response and shipment and BTW here is a pic of my HDD.

My PC is custom built so warranty is only per part. An the HDD is 2 (two) months old.

Built the PC myself, and as you can see on the pic below, the reseller warranty is ripped.

Of course I didn't (but I tried though), but as u see in my previous photo, the HDD and all the parts in it are still intact.

Did you run Seagate Seatools DOS extended CD test on the HD in question?

This is how you determine its condition, not discussing it for two pages.
