Windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown. A problem has caused windows to stop working correctly. Windows will notify you if a solution is available.

This happens multiple times a day... generally in the background.
What do you recommend? All my drivers seem to be OK in the Device Mgr.
Win 7 x64 Enterprise SP1 on a Dell Studio XPS...

Problem Devices:

SBRE	ROOT\LEGACY_SBRE\0000	This device is not present, is not working properly, or does not have all its drivers installed.

See SBRE, is reporting "tv_ConfigMgrErr24". - Microsoft Answers for the problem device mentioned above.


I see Microsoft Security Essential and AVG running at the same time. Please remove one or the other. Having two security programs that accomplish the same task can cause system files to be accessed at the same time and result in crashes.


Your crash report points to the Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter - Dell Wireless WLAN Mini-Card as the culprit. The driver for the device is somewhat out of date. Does your Dell support site offer a newer driver for the Studio XPS 1647? Perhaps: Drivers and Downloads | Dell [United States] Download the driver before doing the next steps.


Now that you have downloaded the latest Dell Wireless WLAN Mini-Card package, here are the steps to install it so it sticks and actually updates the drivers for the device.

1. Click Start Menu
2. Right Click My Computer/Computer
3. Click Manage
4. Click Device Manager from the list on the left
5. Expand Network adapters
6. Right click the Dell Wireless WLAN Mini-Card network device
7. Click Uninstall (do not click OK in the dialog box that pops up after hitting Uninstall)
8. Put a tick in Delete driver software for this device and hit OK
9. Do not restart your computer
10. Install the downloaded driver for the Dell Wireless WLAN Mini-Card network device.

Alternatively:

1. Login as an adminstrative user.
2. Click Start Menu
3. Click Control Panel
4. Click Hardware and Sound
5. Click Device Manager (the last link under Devices and Printers)
6. Expand Network adapters
7. Right click the Dell Wireless WLAN Mini-Card network device
8. Click Uninstall (do not click OK in the dialog box that pops up after hitting Uninstall)
9. Put a tick in Delete driver software for this device and hit OK
10. Do not restart your computer
11. Install the downloaded driver for the Dell Wireless WLAN Mini-Card network device.
