Error WINDOWS 7 7601 BUILD NOT GENUINE. No idea how to fix this.

ok...I am scanning it first with a different malware program....hitman pro. that was suggested as a second scan after the one that doesn't work for the removal of the delta search......Ill see what happens after that.

I tried to run the chkdsk but upon rebooting, it says check couldn't be done due to an error on last update or something like that.

Like i said in the above post, I tried to backup using the control pnael and got all the C drive corruption errors above.
ANy idea?

Most of the time, a backup failure of this sort is due simply to a lack of space on the System Reserved partition.

Since I don't use Windows Backup, I have no real advice to give

I would recommend, however that you run CHKDSK /R to check out your basic disk.

Hey Noel, I've been having the same problems with my computer and I followed your instructions all the way until saving the information you gave in a notepad file under profilelist.reg but when I go back to it and right click no merge option comes up. could I just paste it into the Command Prompt? please reply asap, I've been having issues with this for a really long time now.
