Error: Windows not genuine - may be victim of software counterfeiting

Hi,
I currently have Windows 7 Home Premium x64, which was installed on my Lenovo T520 when I purchased it. I've had no issues with it over the past few years, but recently started getting the "Windows Not Genuine" error when I start up my system.

I use McAfee Total Protection, but I also use CCleaner, and have Malwarebytes Anti-Malware software installed (not sure if one of these caused the issue?).

I have no idea how to fix this, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

You've had a Trusted Store Tamper - TTS Error: T:20140722212324792- which has broken the licensing.


Please first try recreating Licensing Store.

Recreate the Licensing Store
Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories
Right-Click on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator - accept the UAC prompt
Run the following commands in the Command Prompt window, using the Enter key at the end of each

net stop sppsvc
(wait until the service has stopped before entering the following lines)

CD %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform
REN tokens.dat tokens.bar
net start sppsvc
slui.exe

After a couple of seconds the Windows Activation dialog will appear.
You may be asked to re-activate and/or re-enter your product key, or Activation may occur automatically.
If you are asked for your Key, use the one on the COA sticker on the machine's case

Reboot and Post back with a new MGADiag report.

(Note: the Line 'CD %win......\SoftwareProtectionPlatform' is all on one line - it may be broken in the Forum listing)

Thanks NoelDP. I entered all of the prompts as you outlined. I was prompted to validate Windows (didn't have to enter key), and was told that Windows was genuine, but I'm not sure that it actually worked. I've rebooted twice now. I'm not getting any errors at start up, but my background is still black and certain features seem to be disabled.

The background will remain black until you reset it yourself using the Personalize options on the dektop.

The report reads fine now - you aren't getting restricted access because of WGA. If you're having problems with something, then it's for other reasons - possibly corruption.

What exact problems are you having?
