I connected my Seagate hdd (Windows Vista installed) to my new laptop with Windows 7 (64) bit operating system. It recognizes the partitions but when I try to access them, it got stuck when loading. Can anyone help? thanks.

Now I hooked up the hdd into my new laptop but does not show the partition in my computer. When I go to Disk Management, I see the hdd with the size information.
I also gave the access under security. What should I do?

I went to the disk management, was able to open the partitions successfully after few tries. It seems like
there is something wrong with the hdd. The size information comes up under Disk Management but not in my computer. When I open the partitions, shows no files. I tried to copy files, no success. Tried to format the hdd but not successfull. It does not let me format it. What should I do? Is it useless now?
