Solved Failing to update?

Clean installed W7 Pro 32 bit thrice, and each time after install and updating till SP1 windows update is fine, after SP1 install and check for updates get an the same error 800700E.

MS remote access has been able to fix it through tweaking services etc, all 3 times.

But I clean install again to see why cant I fix it or why get the error after downloading installing SP1........

Answer probably is the that WiFi device IP/DNS has a conflict with MS/Windows updates IP??

PS: The reason for 3 clean installs also is that MS remote access leaves a lot of junk.....

I don't have such a media, the only media I have is W7 Pro 32 bit DVD (purchased when W7 was launched)......do you feel IF I purchase a a new Windows DVD with SP1, would help resolve the issue?

Verify which exact version you need
home premium....?
64 bit or 32 bit ?
Language ?

After a clean install of W7, when 1st check for updates (important only) in results I see a few updates and SP1, sized between 44-100 MB approx.....once SP1 get installed check for updates keep running and at the end get a error code?? donno why.....MS remote access never tell how they fix it....

win-7 sp1 only as far as I know.
Remove the quote from your other post I will remove the original in a half hour or so when ever you say the download is completed.

Use either option 1 or I prefer option 2 here to create the bootable installation media

It's very important to do the entire install Without a internet connection
Until you manually install the 2 updates listed on the other thread.

Then Activate windows
Then manually check for updates.

No problem.

Since I have no knowledge to create a bootable USB drive, I'll burn the iso on a DVD, clean install, install the 2 updates, validate, than go on line to check for important updates.

Hope won't get Win 10 upgrade updates with important option?

It says to install 1 update alone, probably net framework related..

Does it look fine to you?

yep just refer back if you need
All of the win-10 stuff are recommended updates so if you use these setting they will not be mixed into the important category

But these are the 10 related ones to avoid but as stated they will all be in the Optional section,

Hope it works the 4th time, I don't mind clean installing but spending a 3--5 hr session with MS remote access with a phone in one hand talking and watching what they are doing is a real headache.

Burning the iso using Imageburn is fine, should it be set to bootable iso?

Thanks I have never used ImgBurn before so I don't know anything about it
I just use the rufus one because I don't have much luck with dvd burning.
