Fallout 3 GOTY stutters since upgrade

I've just upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium from XP and while I love the OS for the most part, I am having issues with a slight stutter or hesitation when playing this game. Happens every 3-5 seconds or so and it's just a quick blip if you will. Never had any issues with this title before and I can play Borderlands and Crysis smooth as butter. Anyone know if Fallout has some issue with Windows 7?

Install the latest 15.51 chipset/motherboard drivers from here:

http://downloads.guru3d.com/Mainboard-drivers---NVIDIA_c19.html

and install the latest video card driver from NVIDIA's site.

hey boomer did u have any problems installing the dlc? or any other problems?

None whatsoever. Everything's gone swimmingly with Win7 so far with me. Just put Borderlands and Far Cry 2 on and they seem to run just fine as well. I'm golden so far.

I just reinstalled Fallout 3 again and I'm still getting the stutter issue as I was before. Not sure what's up but I can only guess Win 7 ain't digging FO3. Oh well...on to something else I guess.

Try to disable cache flushing for the HDD it fixed some issues I was getting. I think they might have a problem with the cache flushing on the RTM =(
