I am NOT happy with 7! If I were to reformat my drive and install XP, would my backup files from Vista and 7 be usable?

Thanks,
Dennis

Thank you for your interest in my problem. They were backed-up using Windows backup.

I did some research but I couldn't get a clear straight answer...so for now I am going to say no

I would backup your data manually (without a tool)...that way it will be a simple copy->paste of the data back on your XP install
