Firefox 4.0 Beta2 released

apptab is a tab that is shrunk, always visible even if you have 1000 tabs. its shrunk so it does not take up space and is always there. its mainly for sites you visit alot

Thanks Cloud. I sort of figured, but I was hoping for better functionality. What about with, say GMail?

it wont really add anything to gmail. really all it does is what i said... its only semi useful. doesnt even save your apptabs

If it had like a mail count and a drop down menu, that would be amazing...

i know what you mean, or even if it flashes its symbol if you have mail .

no an apptab does not really interface with the webpage you are on, that would require some possible need for interaction between web page owners and firefox. maybe not i dont know but it would dtill require some time

Beta 1 worked beautifully. The moment it updated to Beta 2, it died. So far, it's stayed dead. It's a shame they didn't stop at Beta 1.

I updated from Beta 1 to Beta 2 with no problems. What exactly do you mean by "died"??

I love it. Prefer tabs on top. Launches faster, trouble free.

BUT I can't live without my extensions so I won't use it much until they are ready.
