Anyone know when Firefox 6 moves into the Beta stage?

I used FF3xx for quite awhile, didn't like 4xx at all, and now am happy with 5xx. If I don't like something, I uninstall right away, no muss, no fuss, no complaining. This includes my 4 ex-wives...

As mentioned earlier, why people complain about things is beyond me........get rid of it. This includes ex-wives/husbands...

It is but it moves to beta July 5th - did you go to the link I supplied? On July 5th it moves to beta and 7.0 moves from nightly to Aurora

Same time to startup, close, and load pages as FF3/4

Unlike version 4.0, which I uninstalled within 24 hours, I might like this version. If someone has a 'fool-proof' method of overcoming the Add-ons compatibility issue I'd appreciate hearing about it.
Just don't want FF to lose its identity during this round of the browser war.

Just installed Firefox 7.0a1 (Nightly). It's alright but Adobe Flash Player is not installing for some reason. Might just be a bug but I suppose I'll report it.

Slowness can have several causes: Firewall permissions, specific Firefox extension(s), corrupt Firefox profile. To find and eliminate the culprit(s) will require some experimenting on your part.

Strange! On my Win7 it is clearly slow! I noticed it after updating to V5!

Did you make a new profile?

When I went from the FF4 betas to the real release, FF started behaving strangely.

I copied the files that i wanted to keep (from my old profiles).
I created new profiles.
I copied the saved files into the new profile.
The problems vanished.

I think that it is faster on my PC (not in my VMs though).

Use "Compatibility Reporter", it stops the compatibility check and allows the add-ons to continue to function if they can....also allows you to submit reports on what works or doesn't work to the add-on developer. Give it a try.

Yes they have. They have declared FF4 EOL and will no longer support it so you will be forced to go to FF5 for any security related updates. By the time you get all your favorite plugins working FF6 will be out and FF5 will be EOL. It will become such a PIA, users will start dropping FF like a hot potato. I read an article which I can't find now which stated Mozilla was going to implement an auto test scan for plugins and if it passed this test they would be marked as compatible with the new version. I still have one plugin (Virus Total toolbar) that shows incompatible so to use it I have to turn off compatibility checking. This is just BS from Mozilla and I hope they get this new way of during things straight but with their attitude of take it or leave it does not look like a bright future. Since it is free, you get what you pay for with an attitude.

Update: After going to VT web site I found a new version that is compatible. Still a PIA to do this every 6 weeks.
