I have a laptop with Window 7 (64-bit) and have been frustrated by certain icons that won't show in Firefox, but will show in Opera, IE, and Chrome. I've just installed 32-bit Windows 7 to my desktop and I have the same problem. I'm sure I must be missing a plug-in, but I have no idea what it could be. I've attached an example of what I'm referring to.

The first image is of a library page showing icons on the book titles, identifying them as ebooks or audiobooks. The page was displayed in Opera.
The second image is of the same page in Firefox. Now the icon is just a placeholder and I can't tell by looking at it what format it's in.

BTW, this has been consistent throughout all the iterations of Firefox. It didn't start out that way; one day the icons disappeared and I haven't been able to figure out why. But now my new installation of Windows 7 has the same problem. XP, btw, does not.

Does anyone know why Windows 7 will not show these icons? And of course, how to fix it.
