freezing in screen saver mode

After upgrading to Wind7 Ulimate 62, my Dell XPS freezes - sometimes after I log in from the screen saver mode and sometimes when I click to log in while still in the screen saver mode (programmed to show random pictures). It seems the longer I lat the computer run screen saver (like overnight), the more this happens - when I just restart, it works fine. Any ideas?

From the description of your problem and the fact that you used the word upgrade. I am assuming that you did just that upgrade and not a cusotm or clean install. If you did an upgrade, you will probably find other problems later on. My suggestion, bite the bullet save your documents etc. and do a clean install. If I am correct and you are not sure how to do this with and upgrade disc, just post the question and you will be helped.
