Frequent and random crashes :(

I bought my laptop with no OS and installed Windows 7 Enterprise 32-bit at my dad's office. I also dual boot Ubuntu 11.04, which has no problems so I think it's something on the windows end. The computer and OS install are a little over a year old.

My problem is frequent computer crashes. Sometimes it doesn't happen for almost a week, and sometimes i get 3-4 in a day. Sometimes it gives a BSOD (the IRQL driver less than or equal to thing). Sometimes the screen goes black and the computer shuts off. Most commonly everything just freezes, I see artifacts by my mouse, I can't move the mouse or control anything, and then I hear the sound looping and I have to do a hard reset. Very rarely (maybe 10% of the crashes) my computer seems to "recover" without needing a reboot, but it usually reboots itself or needs a hard reset.

Thanks in advance for all the help!

You uploaded the exe instead of the results please try again using this method.

To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.

To ensure minidumps are enabled:

Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
OK your way out.
Reboot if changes have been made.

Most of these are drivers taking too long to respond (specifically USBHUB.sys). I would run a system file check and follow these instructions below.

Run a system file check to verify and repair your system files.
To do this type cmd in search, then right click to run as administrator, then
SFC /SCANNOW

Read here for more information http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html

Let us know the results from the report at the end.

I've run system file checks before, and I just did one again and got no integrity violations.

I tried the USB Driver general fix thing you linked, I'll post back in a few days whether it fixed it or not.

Didn't really fix anything. Crashes occur about as often as before :(
