Frequent BSOD errors, Bug check code: 0x00000124

Hey everyone,
I have this Acer laptop that i purchased 3 years back. It gives me BSODs very often, mostly when the computer is idle or when i attempt to open up chrome. Also i have done a clean installation of the Windows 7 Home Basic 32 bit a week back and started installing all drivers and it was working without any BSODs for 4 days which was unbelievable but as i started installing applications (the last ones i remember installing before BSODs were Winamp, OpenSubtitlesPlayer) its again started giving me these BSODs with the same error code everytime. Ive attached the DM log collector report below(COSMICGATE-PC). Also Im new to posting threads so let me know if any more information is required from my side.

Uninstall chrome completely. Run Prime95, if the temps goes too high stop the test. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/100352-hardware-stress-test-prime95.html

How much time is it suppose to take. Been more than 2 hours now the prime95 test is still running. The speed of the computer has dropped down considerably low. When would I know the test is complete??

How do I tell?? It only gives me worker #1/2/3/4 - Self-Test. I've uploaded the picture. Is there something I'm supposed to do here or just wait till its done??

Not too savvy bout overclocking & stuff. Please Explain. Also when I click on sensor test it gives me another box where in movements of core 0 and core 1 are displayed and core 2 and core 3 aren't.

The Memtest shows zero errors and was passed 9 times with 10 tests. Kept for approx. 1 hr 40 min
