Okay!

So, one of those little freakin' Ripjaws X 2x4GB DDR3-1600 F3-12800CL8D CL8-8-8-24 @ 1.50v / 800MHz (mouthful) sticks wasn't operating corretly, specifically the one slotted in slot B2. I've removed it, checked my timings and voltage (all at recommended levels, so it's no fault of mine) and am currently running on single-channel 1x4GB RAM with default settings. I've also clocked the i5 down to 4.0GHz, but that's unrelated.

Personally I've had problems with crappy RAM giving me errors just like this in the past (I was foolish enough to purchase PNY RAM in a hurry when building this PC off the bat) but figured if I was BSODing again it had to be something, anything else. But I suppose not.

If I could ask a few final favors of you guys:
1. tom982, could you instruct me once more to make sure all my windows files are uncorrupted?
2. VistaKing, can you RMA single sticks in a dual-channel kit?
3. centaur78 don't worry brah, Kaspersky is off my HDD. Thanks for the advice.

Otherwise, thank you so much for your kind advice. At least these BSODs got me around to updating my firmware on all these old SSDs and MOBOs :)

tl;dr VistaKing was right all along, and crappy RAM has fooled me twice so shame on me.

Ohoho, a new problem appears!

gtx670disabled1.jpg

Something wrong with the GTX 670, I'll check it out. Not even detected by MOBO/UEFI BIOS or mentioned during boot processes so I'm assuming windows throws the Error 43 while looking for it..?

Answer to your question . Can you RMA one of the RAMs on a Dual Channel memory ? Simple answer is No you can't . You will have to RMA both of the memory sticks .

For your graphic card issue download the driver from either the manufacture's website or from Nvidia website .

Glad you got your video card working .

Test your ram on every slot to see if its a bad ram or a bad memory slot .

Try another SFC and post your CBS log, that'll tell us whether your files are okay:

SFC Scan

  1. Click on the Start
    Start%20Orb.jpg
button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
  2. When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator
  3. When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following commands into it, press enter after each

    sfc /scannow

Wait for this to finish before you continue

    copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log %userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt

  4. This will create a file, cbs.txt on your Desktop. Please attach this to your next post.
