Hey all,

I had a problem with my gateway fx6802 running windows 7 home premium, i think i got a virus but not sure, first i had a message saying windows explorer is not responding, then the pc wouldn't boot after i tried to restart it. So i tried the recovery discs with a fresh install of the o/s, so here's my problem so far:
The 3 dvd discs install and then i'm asked to reboot, after rebooting i then get messages saying ' setup is updating registry' ' setup is starting devices' and 'setup is installing devices', the installing devices gets up to 44% and the i get the bsod, the bsod isn't up long enough for me to read the error code, the pc then restarts and tries the installing devices again and then a popup message saying windows can't continue with the installation and to restart the pc and try the install again, so far i've tried 5 times and the outcome are all the same.

If anyone knows how i can fix my problem, it would be appreciated.

Trinity didn't work. Problem is, windows seems to install as I get the windows splash screen, I'm then getting messages I stated earlier but then a bsod when installing devices hits 44%. I contacted gateway online support , they say it could be hardware failure and so telling me how much it's going to cost to repair. Would a windows 7 64 bit boot disc do any good?, I've tried a fresh install 7 times now.
