Getting folders to look the same

I have details on my folders, I can add some columns for certain items. But its only for that folder, isn't there a way to get a folders and subfolders to look the same way?

Doing Properties/Customize/also apply to this template to all subfolders - didn't work.

Yeah, doesn't seem to work - there are folders who resist the global change (unless i need to reboot first)

It should be applied to all folders except the small File -> "Save as", "Open" common dialog type windows, libraries. It will also not affect window size and position.

If it's not any of the above, then what folder (full path) is it not being applied to? I'll do some testing on it to see what the issue may be.

Perhaps its just because its different drives. But don't bother more about that Brink. I have far greater problems to have solved (like getting zonealarm to work on windows 7 to prevent selectively outgoing connections - not like it is now, occasionally everything)

If it's a removable drive, then folder view settings will not be remembered for it.
