Hey there!

I recently installed Windows 7, got tired of windows 10. Installed the GPU drivers (Intel HD3000 and AMD 6490M), and since then, I keep getting this annoying igkamd64.sys BSOD after windows has booted up, before the "Welcome" screen. This only happens on Fixed GPU Switching (AMD GPU is always running and does like 90% of the computing). On Dynamic Switching (Intel is always running, can select some applications to run on AMD) it does not happen. Altough I just don't want to use Dynamic switching, since the GPU Performance is way worse than it is on Fixed. I'm using Leshcat's drivers btw, since I can't use HP drivers nor the official one. Official one just doesn't give me the switchable graphics thingy, so AMD card is pretty much useless and HP drivers have wrong Intel GPU drivers with it for some reason. Is there anything I can do? Thanks!

Hi flaggoz,

Welcome to the 7forums :)

Both dumps are corrupted unfortunately.

How did you install Windows 7 exactly?

Went from Win 10 to Win 7, tried to make a clean install, but I couldn't delete any partitions so I just formatted the main one and installed it on there.

So before you installed Windows 7 you deleted only the C: partition (or whatever partition it was) and choose to install on the unallocated space without deleting all other partitions?

Didn't even delete it, because I wasn't allowed to (disks were dynamic), just formatted the C Partion without deleting it.

Did you access the installation media through Windows or through the boot options?

I want to know what exactly happened that made it not possible for you to format the drive. The best way to revert back to a previous OS is by formatting the entire disk and clean install again, this is possible if we know what went wrong so it can be prevented :)

Installed via 4GB USB Stick, no idea why I couldn't delete them. I think I have solved the BSODs though, I installed older Intel drivers and it seems like it's working. I haven't got a BSOD yet. I'm not 100% sure though, I'll find it out in a few days. Not everything is so great right now. I'm struggling with BF3. After 5-10 minutes, sometimes even longer, the AMD gpu driver randomly stops working which causes the game to freeze. I have no idea what is causing it.
