Solved hard disk changed to dynamic type after using disk management

Could anybody please tell me how to boot using PW cd...I tried F10 in my hp pavilion dv6-7012tx but I couldn't understand anything.
Please help.

For HP, the bios boot menu key should be F12.

Press and hold F 12 just when the motherboard splash screen pops up , it will list up all the possible drives to be booted from. Choose the dvd drive using the scrool keys, and hit enter.

When asked, choose 1 for resolutions.

Make the DVD and put it in the DVD drive and shut down your PC. Start your PC and PW will be started when the PC boots.

I did as you said but the windows started normally.!!!

You need to do one of 2 things:

Go into the BIOS and change a setting so the PC will boot from the DVD drive first.

or

Use an F key during the boot process to bring up a menu that will let you select the DVD drive as the boot device.

Arc thinks it is the F12 key. I don't know what it is on an HP. It varies among brands. Hold F12 down during a boot and see if that brings up a menu. If it does, choose your DVD/CD drive.

Did as u said but instead of booting from PW my laptop started producing continous beep sound & a black screen appeared & then it got shutdown.
I'm totally confused.

You reboot . Follow carefully what is written in the motherboard screen .... something like

F2 : Bios setup
F12: boot menu

Or anything similar ? Please let us know.

Edit : it might be the Esc key ... even ... better you check it by rebooting and seeing the screen. F12 sometimes is the network boot key .

Nothing like that is written.
While booting only thing that is written is-
Press Esc for startup menu

I just found bios setting & enabled boot from cd/dvd as 1st option & then I restarted & when pressed esc the following options appear:
"F1 system information
F2 system diagnostics
F9 boot device options
F10 bios setup
F11 system recovery

ENTER-continue setup"

What to do now?

I entered partition wizard boot disc.Now there are 3 options:
1.boot from partition wizard boot disc
2.boot from partition wizard boot disc(safe mode)
3.boot from local drive

Select the first 1 , hit enter .

A lot of lines will go with a speed ... dont worry. At a time, it will ask you to choose resolution. You are to type 1 there, and hit enter again, to get into the UI.

converted disk to basic.
Now C is primary,SYSTEM partition is primary,HP_TOOLS partition is primary & unallocated is logical.
What to do now?

But I haven't exited from partition wizard.
I converted disk to basic.Is it enough?Can I create new partitions in disk management now?

You can create them in Disk Management or in PW.

But we'd like to see a screen shot of what you see now--either in PW or DM.

Don't make your new partitions just yet.

You can always go back into PW any time.
