~~ Help and support opens on startup ~~

Not really a problem but it is annoying... It says sothing along the lines of; windows cannot find help for this device. Does this happen when a device driver is not installed?

I have what I believe to be the onboard modem without a driver, but I dont care to have it as there isnt a driver for it anyway and I wont ever use. All I want to do is stop it from opening at all. This auto open is just plain stupid...

You disabled it in Device Manager or if available in the bios? That should stop the pop up at start up.

Also is it onboard or an actual modem? If an actual modem you can always just pull it.

Not available in the BIOS. I found the modem driver, but the other is a Serial Driver. No driver for this on HP site or on win update:

Disabling in device manager didnt change anything.
