multiple torrent downloads causes BSOD
I have been experiencing BSOD for the past 3 years while using utorrent. I have changed my graphics card, wi-fi adapter and reinstalled windows at-least 20 times but nothing helped. Looks like I was looking for a complex solution to a simple problem.
Finally, I tried something that worked. Without going into the technicalities, I changed the utorrent options>preferences>queueing and (initially) I limited the maximum number of active download to 1 and that worked fine, then I changed the maximum number of active downloads to 3 and that worked fine too. the utorrent default is 5
Another issue might be that I used to change the bandwidth allocation to high and priorities for each file to high. everything is working fine, i DON'T DO THAT ANYMORE. If you still have problem reduce the maximum number of active downloads further....GOOG LUCK!
