Hi there .. You have tried all the Drivers from the HP website and AMD with no avail .. And you have recently done a factory Restore ... So the only thing i can suggest is a Clean Install .. This would be possible if you have the COA product key you wont even need a Windows Disc as this can be downloaded ..

Ok, I'll give that a try. How do I find the COA product key? I don't have a CD for the windows, it just came with the computer. And there isn't anything important saved on this computer, only software (which can easily be re installed). So I don't mind loosing everything or nothing.

Hello, I apologize for the delay. I looked around a lot and found this CD that says Windows 7 64 bit on it (written by someone). Now I'm not sure exactly what it is, but I ran it real quickly and this is the pop up box that I got. Does this disc changes any of the steps that you mentioned in the clean install link? Thanks!

It doesn't have any hologram and I don't think it came with the HP computer. It is just a blank disc, one of those you can buy at the store to burn stuff on.

OK thanks for that. I am a little confused/worried about this part.

"● If you don't want to keep any partitions but also don't have a new partition scheme in mind, just click Next after Deleting all to let the installer create and format your installation partition for you. Ignore the small boot partition which is created."

So I click ALL of the partitions first and delete them, but then should I not create any new partitions?

As you can probably tell I know minimum about computers, I looked up partitions and I don't think I want to separate the hard drive, I just want the C: drive and the D:, recovery drive. Thank you so much for your help though, I really appreciate it.

It is not needed if you want to keep the Partitions you already have .. Just proceed to Install on C Drive ..

Woo, I think I made it. However, I am still getting the same message... But I don't know because it isn't updated or what. The ONLY thing that I have installed (that it is under programs/features) is AVG, that's it. I tried the Update Drivers option and still under Standard VGA Graphics Adapter. I also tried going to that same HP website mentioned earlier and install the original driver, got the same error message.

Unless I am missing some update or something, it seems like the Raedon card is broken, but how could it be? Like I mentioned earlier, I haven't touched the tower at all, nothing has been messed with. Could it be the monitor? I'm not sure how graphic cards work, but if they have a software within them, could that be it?

Hi there ... If it is showing as Standard VGA it is not your Monitor .. See if Windows can Update the Driver .. If not i shall see if I can find one

I have 133 important updates, that's going to take a while... Maybe it's in there? I did try this option though and nothing happened,
