HELP

I was nessing around with the cmd for a while to help my friend with a lost win xp pass. But ironicly I seem to have reset my onw pass! I've tryed the script that supposetly resets my pass, but it says that my pass is already blank! I've got an assignment due Monday and the files are on my other cpu! I want to avoid installing a new OS but if I have to I will...

Try this ...

In the run menu type control userpasswords2.
Just press WIN + R to get the RUN menu.
The user accounts windows will now open up.
Look for the option saying " Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer " and uncheck this option and press "OK".
Now a windows opens up asking you to enter the current password you use to log in to Windows 7. Enter the password and confirm. Done!.

   Warning

This will reset you system to automatic logon!​

The only problem with that plan is that I can't log on to any account! Is there any way I can access run from the login screen? If I can somhow logon to the admin, I can do this. But I did'nt activate the Admin account! On win Xp presing esc will give me the cmd, I can work from there but win 7 doesnt have that...

There is a reset your password link on the log in page. Try that?

Oh I see.

You could just reinstall over the old install and then restore from it. You won't lose any files...

Guys, i dont know about this. But If we can do a method like we do in XP >
Press cntrl + Alt + Del nad then change the Username to Admin and leaving the password empty.
Isnt there any way to do this in WIn 7 ? I just tried but cant do it

If you dont do a clean install you are gonna import the files and setting (userr id and passwords) from your current OS. you should try a repair install first.
