i tried the wpa2 personal tip..no luck. home group has never worked well for me. i have 3 machines running win7 pro or ult. all have identical (as best i can determine) networking settings. all have norton 360. all connect to an e3000 (2 wireless, 1 ethernet.) on a typical day A can see B but not vice versa (i very rarely have all on at once.) even when i can ping B from A it will still usually report no homegroup pc's available. sometimes i can't ping a machine and yet it shows up in the full network map. on rare occsaions, everything works perfectly.
this is hardly a complete list of the variable symptoms and this continues to be a frustrating exercise. have i overlooked something fundamental? this is supposed to be idiot-proof and i'm no idiot (a moron by last accounting, yes.)
