Speedgamer's tutorial is great!
I did not DL his modded imageres file, I created my own using V for Vendetta's advice at the Win 8 forums with IcoFX 2 and Resource Hacker. I then followed Speed's advice picking from the use of Se7en File Replacer and no more SHIELD!
Also, remember to mod both imageres.dll files (one in System32 and one in sysWOW64) if you're using 64-bit Windows.
Just wanted to post that it worked, and I'm a happy camper. Thanks to speedgamer01 and V for Vendetta!
