How do I get my USB ports to work again?

I uninstalled Norton over a year ago and I think it took some of my drivers because since then I have spun my wheels trying to fix my favorite laptop.

We could use a little more information as to model number etc. of your machine, in lieu of that here's the driver page from HP. Select your model number and see if they have drivers for your usb port(s).
