Solved How do I get the default system files?

So I've been installing some visual style themes and now I went back to the original Win 7 Basic theme. All I have to do was replace Explorerframe.dll in System32, I also remember having to replace a file in SYSWOW64 since I'm running Win 7 64-bit. Anyways, I noticed that these buttons are still from my old theme, if anyone could identify what default system file are linked to these buttons and tell me how to get the original ones back and running, thanks a lot.

p.s: this isn't in a normal explorer window, it's just when I try to save a picture from the internet or something like that.

Set back to a restore point or image to the time prior to installing the theme.

Have you tried using the system file checker?

See if it repairs those, if not, we have some experts who will be along soon.

I did the sfc /scannow in the cmd but it always stays stuck at 38% and it gives me an error telling me it didn't not succeed to fix the files or something like that.

Try a repair install, then make sure to have an image and try reinstalling the theme.

I don't have a CD for it but all I really need to need is the name of the .dll file that stands for those buttons I posted in picture above. If I remember correctly, I touched Explorerframe.dll (system 32 and SYSWOW64, but I know this isn't the one) and also maybe shell32.dll. I'm not sure at all

It is Explorerframe.dll in both System 32 and SYSWOW64

If you need the Explorerframe.dll you can get it from the .iso or the DVD

I believe its the one in SYSWOW64 since I remember replacing the one in system32 with a backup I had. Is there a way to download the Explorerframe.dll form SYSWOW64?

You can download the CD/DVD for Windows.

You can extract that file that you want from there.

Did you Windows 7 Ultimate x64 come with this computer or did you install it yourself?

I installed it myself, I originaly had the Home Premium edition.

Ugh, do I really have to download 3.1 GB of data just to extract a 1.7 MB file???

I'm thinking if you installed Ultimate yourself you must have a copy of it. Can't you get your selected file off of that copy?
Just trying to make 2+2 and up to 4.
