Options for network sharing are already turned on and am successfully sharing folders on main drive C:

Additional hard drives in computer - S and U , both will not share any folders.

Checked security and sharing settings compared to a folder that was successfully being shared , options are the same. - no good -

Tried sharing ENTIRE hard drive at once ,made sure options were same as C: , no good, folder will not share.

Went into Computer Management and tried to create a share, will not share.
"The folder could not be shared for the following reason:
Incorrect function."

Any help would be appreciated , trying to move/share data to another computer from these drives.

EDIT:
To make things more clear , i am only TRYING to share folders in the drives, but attempted to share the entire drives to narrow things down.
I created new folders in the drives right at the top to also try to share - no good -

"An error occurred while trying to share Testsharefolder.Incorrect function. The shared resource was not created at this time"

Yes. I already saw that thread and hit restore. Which made it so my C: drive could no longer share properly as the other computer could not connect to this one to get the files (even though clicking share here works fine on C:)
I then turned it back off.

Thanks anyone who took the time to read this. I have fixxed my issue (although i did not figure out what it was)
Used Tweaking.com's Windows Repair.
I used the windows firewall and the permission settings options both.

Absolutely no thanks to Microsoft, who linked me to very basic information. Then tried to get me to pay 99 dollars for a fix. Then blamed Western Digital hard drives. Then linked me this thread (my own thread) as a way to fix my issue.

You can do this one or two ways

If you want to have the main hard drives available then to add folders so you can go through it yourself i would just make each hard drive a network drive this would be the same thing as adding individual folders you would access each drive but only certain things you want available to see

Or.... add folders into the documents folder and get them from there but you have to label each one obviously and enable document sharing repeat as well if you want to add video

I have mine external as a network drive and i can get to it from any pc or device without compromising anything else really which i find very nice and nothing more then video and programs that i have downloaded over the past go there so when i do clean installs etc i have everything ready to go i hope this is the answer you were looking for

i see you have gotten it taken care i also use a WD mybook for my external so yeah it was probably windows
