How do i use hibernate mode without going into sleep mode first

I want windows media center computer to go into hibernate mode only. Now it goes to sleep after 25 min and then hibernates after 30 min. How do i set it so it will go right into hibernate mode?

Hello, You can disable Sleep by going to Power Options>Choose when the computer sleeps (from the left pane)>selecting Never.

If you wish to hibernate your pc after a certain amount of time, read the below thread:

Thats seems to have worked. But had to change the power plan from eco to balance to get it to work

Glad it worked.
Can you elaborate on 'eco'? If this is a custom power plan created by you, then very likely, you'd have messed some settings which resulted in abnormal behaviour.
