How do I verify Windows 10 Authentication after roll back to Windows 7

I installed the free version of Win 10 & ran Win 10 for a few days & could not get my Dell 968 AIO printer to communicate with my computer no matter what I tried. Consequently I rolled back to Win 7. After getting the rolled back Win 7 to run fine, I tried to verify that Win 10 was authenticated to run on my computer, just for future purposes in case I want to go back to Win 10 within a one year time frame. Everywhere I look on Google the instructions are all the same to do this: Click Start, Settings, Update & Security, Activation. There are no such options in Win 7. Any ideas/suggestions on how to verify Win 10 Authentication on my computer using Win 7 would be greatly appreciated? By the way, I do have the folder Windows-old on my computer which I suppose is my copy of Windows 10.

Windows old would most likely the win-7 not 10
You would of been better off creating a system image of 10 then roll back to 7.

It would of been better also to have created a system image of 7 before upgrading so you can get rid of any bugs that may surface
Plus it could of been used if 10's upgrade would of failed or if rolling back to 7 would of failed.

Either way with all of the digital entitlement.... once upgraded you can reinstall 10 or so I've read anyway

So as far as verifying 10 I don't believe there is a way beside reinstalling it

Thank you for your reply. I have done all of the things you recommended & sill have them on my computer plus many restore points before & after update to Win 10 & then back to Win 7. Maybe I did not make myself clear but what I am trying to find out is what is my authentication code for Win 10. My MS Account says I am using Win 10 but really I am now using Win 7 but I can not find the A code I am looking for. Any suggestions on how to do that? Also, why do you think the Windows-old contains links to win 7 and not Win 10. At the point Windows created Win-old I was running Win 10, not Win 7 before the roll back.

Windows old is created when you upgrade not when you downgrade.

I personally do not know of any authentication code
The upgrade adds something to the bios but as far as retrieving it ?

Like I said you just clean install 10 again and digital entitlement kicks in from there

Nothing is added to the local system, in either the Hard disk or Bios when a system is upgraded to Windows 10 this is by design to prevent unscrupulous users from attempting to clone this information and pirate the OS. All information is stored on the Microsoft secure servers when a Windows 10 system is first activated. and this data will be used for any subsequent activation as long as the hardware still matches the initial hardware.

If you log-in using a Microsoft ID and this is linked the the Digital licence, then even if the hardware has changed or even is new hardware the OS will activate automatically
